Agricultural, Environmental & Land Use Strategists

Environmental Consulting

At Danaca, we provide expert natural resource management and environmental consulting services for projects of all sizes—from small developments to complex infrastructure. We partner with your team of engineers, planners, and architects to design and deliver projects that respect and protect the environment.

The BC Riparian Areas Protection Regulation (RAPR) requires that any proposed development within 30 m of a watercourse that provides fish habitat or flows into fish habitat be assessed by a Qualified Environmental Professional. Most municipalities in BC require RAPR assessments as part of the development permit process for proposed work near streams, lakes, wetlands, or ditches.

Our team has successfully completed many RAPR assessments in watersheds throughout Vancouver Island. If you are needing assistance with an assessment for your development we are here to help! Feel free to reach out with the details of your project, our QEPs would be happy to answer your questions and guide you through the approval process.

Other services include:

  • Compliance support for the Water Sustainability Act and local government environmental development permit areas

  • Wildfire Risk Assessments

  • Sediment and erosion control planning

  • Ecosystem restoration and invasive species management

  • Comprehensive Environmental Overviews, including species-at-risk assessments, bird surveys, and contaminated site reviews

Grounded in science and backed by a collective of skilled professionals, we help move your project forward—responsibly and sustainably.
